1.2 Authentication Information

Vet Tech Companion uses third-party authentication and backend services, including Supabase, to manage user accounts and secure login. If you sign in using Google, Google may provide basic account information such as your email address and account identifier, depending on your Google account settings and permissions.

We do not receive or store your Google password.

1.3 Subscription and Purchase Information

Vet Tech Companion may offer Free and Pro subscription plans. Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat.

We may receive and store limited subscription-related information, such as:

• Subscription status
• Product identifier
• Entitlement status
• Purchase or renewal status
• Expiration date
• App store platform
• Anonymous or app-specific purchase identifiers

We do not collect or store your full payment card number, billing address, or payment credentials. Payments are processed by Apple or Google according to their own privacy policies and payment terms.

1.4 Support and Communication Information

If you contact us for support, submit a ticket, or send feedback, we may collect:

• Your email address
• Your message or support request
• App-related details you choose to provide
• Technical information needed to investigate or respond to your request

We use this information to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, improve the Service, and maintain customer support records.

We do not use transactional account emails for unrelated marketing without your consent.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Vet Tech Companion does not intentionally collect:

• Full payment card numbers
• Government identification numbers
• Protected health information from human patients
• Veterinary patient medical records as a required app feature
• Precise GPS location
• Contacts from your device
• Photos, videos, microphone recordings, or files unless a future feature clearly requests permission
• Advertising identifiers for behavioral advertising

Vet Tech Companion is not designed to store full veterinary medical records or replace a clinic’s official medical record system.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage user accounts
• Authenticate users
• Provide Free and Pro app features
• Process and verify subscriptions
• Restore purchases
• Send password reset and account confirmation emails
• Respond to support requests
• Improve app reliability and user experience

4. Veterinary and Educational Content Disclaimer

Vet Tech Companion provides educational, reference, and workflow-support information intended for veterinary technicians, veterinary professionals, students, and related users.

The app may include information related to veterinary drugs, calculations, emergency references, vaccines, diseases, normal values, fluid therapy, and other veterinary topics.

This content is provided for informational purposes only. It does not replace:

• Professional veterinary judgment
• Licensed veterinarian diagnosis or treatment
• Clinic protocols
• Drug labels
• Current formularies
• Emergency care standards
• Direct patient assessment

Users are responsible for verifying all information, calculations, dosages, and clinical decisions before applying them in real-world veterinary care.

5. How We Share Information

We may share limited information with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate the Service.

These providers may include:

• Supabase: Used for authentication, database services, account management, and backend infrastructure.
• Resend: Used to send transactional emails such as account confirmation, password reset, and support-related messages.
• RevenueCat: Used to manage subscription status, purchase validation, entitlements, and restore purchases.
• Apple App Store and Google Play: Used to process in-app purchases, subscriptions, billing, refunds, and app distribution.
• Google Sign-In: Used when you choose to authenticate with your Google account.

These service providers are only given the information necessary to perform their services. They may process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information if required to:

• Comply with applicable law
• Respond to lawful requests
• Protect our rights, users, or the public
• Prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our agreements.

Account information is generally retained while your account remains active.

Support messages may be retained for a reasonable period to help us manage support history, improve the Service, and document issue resolution.

Subscription-related information may be retained as needed to verify purchases, manage entitlements, comply with app store requirements, and resolve billing or access issues.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, unless we are required or permitted to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legitimate business purposes.

7. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account from within the app or by contacting us at:

When requesting account deletion, please use the email address associated with your Vet Tech Companion account so we can verify and process your request.

Deleting your account may remove access to your account data and app-related preferences. However, deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription managed by Apple or Google.

To avoid future charges, you must cancel your subscription directly through:

• Apple App Store subscription settings, or
• Google Play subscription settings

After your account is deleted, some limited records may be retained if required for legal, billing, security, fraud prevention, or platform compliance reasons.

8. Subscriptions and Purchases

Vet Tech Companion may offer paid subscription plans that unlock Pro features.

Subscriptions are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We use subscription information to determine whether your account has access to Pro features.

We do not control Apple or Google billing systems, refund decisions, or subscription cancellation processes.

To manage or cancel your subscription, please use the subscription management tools provided by Apple or Google on your device or app store account.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

10. International Users

Vet Tech Companion may be operated from the United States or use service providers located in different countries.

By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

11. Children’s Privacy

Vet Tech Companion is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
