Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Vet Tech Companion mobile application, website, content, features, subscriptions, and related services collectively referred to as the “Service.”

By downloading, accessing, or using Vet Tech Companion, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Vet Tech Companion

Vet Tech Companion is an educational and reference tool designed to support veterinary technicians, veterinary professionals, students, and related users.

The Service may include tools and reference information related to veterinary topics, including but not limited to:

• Veterinary drugs and drug references
• Dose calculations
• Fluid therapy calculations
• Emergency references
• Vaccines
• Diseases
• Normal values
• TPR values
• Medical math
• Veterinary workflow support
• Educational veterinary reference content

Vet Tech Companion is intended to assist users with access to organized information and workflow tools. It is not intended to replace professional veterinary judgment, licensed veterinarian supervision, direct patient assessment, clinic protocols, or current medical references.

2. Educational and Veterinary Disclaimer

Vet Tech Companion provides information for educational, reference, and workflow-support purposes only.

The Service does not provide veterinary medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or emergency care. The information in the Service should not be relied upon as the sole basis for clinical decisions.

Users are responsible for independently verifying all information before applying it in any real-world veterinary setting, including:

• Drug names
• Drug concentrations
• Doses
• Dose ranges
• Calculations
• Unit conversions
• Fluid therapy plans
• Emergency steps
• Vaccine recommendations
• Disease information
• Normal values
• Contraindications
• Warnings
• Patient-specific factors

Clinical decisions must be made by qualified veterinary professionals using professional judgment, current formularies, drug labels, clinic protocols, and applicable laws and regulations.

Vet Tech Companion is not a substitute for a licensed veterinarian or emergency veterinary care.

3. No Guarantee of Medical Accuracy

We work to provide accurate and useful veterinary reference information. However, veterinary medicine changes over time, and errors, omissions, outdated information, or calculation issues may occur.

We do not guarantee that any information, calculation, result, reference, or feature in the Service is complete, accurate, current, or appropriate for every patient, species, condition, or clinical situation.

You agree that you are solely responsible for reviewing, confirming, and validating all information and calculations before use.

4. User Responsibility

By using Vet Tech Companion, you agree that:

• You will use the Service responsibly and professionally.
• You will verify all information before applying it in practice.
• You will not rely solely on the Service for diagnosis, treatment, medication decisions, emergency care, or patient management.
• You will follow applicable laws, regulations, clinic policies, professional standards, and veterinarian instructions.
• You will not use the Service in a way that could harm animals, users, clinics, or third parties.
• You understand that patient-specific decisions require professional judgment and direct assessment.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vet Tech Companion.

If you are under the age of majority in your location, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent, guardian, school, employer, or authorized professional.

The Service is primarily intended for users involved in or studying veterinary medicine, veterinary technology, animal care, or related fields.

6. Accounts

Some features may require you to create an account or sign in using email/password or a supported third-party login provider such as Google.

You agree to provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or create security, legal, or operational risks.

7. Google Sign-In and Third-Party Authentication

If you choose to sign in using Google or another third-party authentication provider, your use of that provider is subject to its own terms and privacy policies.

We do not control third-party authentication services and are not responsible for their availability, security, or practices.

We do not receive or store your Google password.

8. Free and Pro Features

Vet Tech Companion may offer both free features and paid Pro features.

Free features may be limited in scope, availability, frequency, or access.

Pro features may require an active paid subscription or valid entitlement.

We may change which features are free or paid, modify feature availability, add new features, or remove features at any time, subject to applicable law and app store rules.

9. Subscriptions

Vet Tech Companion may offer auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple App Store and Google Play.

Subscription options may include monthly, annual, promotional, founding, standard, trial, or other plans depending on availability.

When you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Apple or Google through your app store account.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date according to Apple or Google’s rules.

Subscription pricing, billing period, renewal terms, free trials, and cancellation rules are shown at the time of purchase.

You are responsible for reviewing all subscription details before purchasing.

10. Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation

We do not directly process payments or store payment card information.

All billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you purchased the subscription.

To cancel a subscription, you must cancel it through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

Deleting your Vet Tech Companion account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel your subscription.

After cancellation, you may continue to access Pro features until the end of the current paid billing period, unless otherwise determined by Apple or Google.

We do not control app store refund decisions. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple or Google according to their policies.

11. Free Trials and Promotions

Vet Tech Companion may offer free trials, introductory pricing, promotional pricing, or founding plans.

Trial and promotional availability may vary by platform, region, account, campaign, or eligibility.

At the end of a free trial, your subscription may automatically renew as a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends, according to the terms shown at purchase.

Founding or promotional plans may have special pricing or terms. If you cancel or lose eligibility for a promotional plan, we may not be able to restore the same promotional pricing unless required by applicable law or app store rules.

12. Subscription Access and RevenueCat

We may use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, validate purchases, restore purchases, and control Pro access.

Subscription access is determined by app store purchase records, RevenueCat entitlement status, and our app systems.

Temporary interruptions, delayed entitlement updates, failed renewals, expired payment methods, app store issues, or technical errors may affect access to Pro features.

13. Restore Purchases

If you purchased a subscription and Pro access is not showing correctly, you may use the “Restore Purchases” feature in the app where available.

Restore Purchases attempts to reconnect your app account with valid Apple or Google purchase records.

Restoring purchases does not create a new subscription and does not cancel an existing subscription.

14. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Vet Tech Companion account from within the app or by contacting:

Deleting your account may remove account data, preferences, and access associated with your Vet Tech Companion account.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To avoid future charges, you must cancel your subscription directly through Apple App Store or Google Play.

We may retain limited information as required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or platform compliance purposes.

15. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or misleading purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, databases, or infrastructure.
• Copy, scrape, harvest, or bulk extract app content or data without permission.
• Reverse engineer, modify, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Service except where legally permitted.
• Interfere with app security, subscriptions, entitlements, or access controls.
• Share, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization.
• Upload or transmit malware, harmful code, spam, or disruptive content.
• Use the Service in a way that could harm animals, users, veterinary clinics, or third parties.
• Misrepresent Vet Tech Companion as providing official diagnosis, treatment, or emergency veterinary care.

16. Intellectual Property

Vet Tech Companion, including its design, content organization, text, software, features, graphics, icons, logos, databases, and other materials, is owned by TeRRa Labs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own educational, professional, or personal reference purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, lease, publish, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our prior written permission, except where allowed by applicable law.

17. User Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, ideas, corrections, or feature requests, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

We may use feedback to improve Vet Tech Companion, create new features, fix errors, or modify content.

18. Third-Party Services

Vet Tech Companion may rely on or link to third-party services, including but not limited to:

• Supabase
• Resend
• RevenueCat
• Apple App Store
• Google Play
• Google Sign-In
• External websites or references

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, availability, security, billing practices, or policies.

19. App Store Terms

Your use of Vet Tech Companion may also be subject to the terms and conditions of the app store where you downloaded the app, including Apple App Store or Google Play.

If you downloaded the app from Apple App Store, Apple is not responsible for the Service, its content, support, warranties, claims, or liabilities, except as required by applicable law.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to your use of the iOS version of the Service and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

20. Updates and Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

Updates may include bug fixes, feature changes, content changes, pricing changes, subscription changes, database updates, or compatibility improvements.

Some updates may be required for continued use of the Service.

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by changes, interruptions, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

21. Availability

We aim to keep Vet Tech Companion available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available access.

The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, app store issues, internet problems, third-party provider outages, security events, or technical failures.

22. No Warranties

Vet Tech Companion is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, availability, and suitability for clinical or professional use.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, current, complete, secure, uninterrupted, or suitable for any specific patient, species, condition, treatment, or clinical situation.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeRRa Labs, Vet Tech Companion, its owners, developers, affiliates, service providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

This includes, but is not limited to, damages related to:

• Clinical decisions
• Patient outcomes
• Medication errors
• Calculation errors
• Missed warnings
• Outdated information
• Subscription issues
• Data loss
• Account access issues
• App downtime
• Third-party service failures

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the three months before the claim arose, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

24. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TeRRa Labs, Vet Tech Companion, its owners, developers, affiliates, service providers, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of applicable law or regulation
• Your clinical, professional, or educational use of app information
• Your infringement of third-party rights
• Any harm caused by your reliance on app content without independent verification

25. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if:

• You violate these Terms
• You misuse the Service
• Your account creates security, legal, or operational risk
• Required by law, platform rules, or third-party provider requirements
• We discontinue the Service

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described above.

Termination of your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple or Google subscription.

26. Privacy

Your use of Vet Tech Companion is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at:

Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect information.

27. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may notify you by updating the effective date, posting the revised Terms, sending an email, or providing an in-app notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

28. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

You agree that any dispute arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will be handled in the courts located in Florida, United States, unless applicable law requires a different venue.
